INTERFAITH SOUNDS OF COMMUNITY VIRTUAL CONCERT

Sunday, November 15, 4 pm Please register for this free, virtual event.  The 30th Annual Sounds of CommUNITY concert will be a virtual event due to COVID-19. Be inspired by this "Musical Mosaic of Hope" as we allow the power of music to bring harmony to our lives and community. The late Rev. Charles T. Smith began this concert series while he served as president of the Federation, believing music has the power to bring unity to a commUNITY. This year’s concert includes tributes to Rev. Charles T. Smith by local leaders. JOIN THE SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY AG CENTER ON FACEBOOK LIVE @SUAGCENTER FOR: EDUCATIONAL TIPS RESOURCES CHALLENGES CALL TO ACTION MUSIC PLUS SO MUCH MORE!  The Great American Smokeout Day is an annual intervention event held on the third Thursday of November by the American Cancer Society. Approximately 40 million American adults still smoke, and tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the country. The event challenges people to quit on  that day our use the day to make a plan to quit. COMMUNITIES OF COLOR NETWORK IS A TABACCO INITIATIVE TO HELP ERADICATE TOBACCO USAGE, PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND CESSATION RESOURCES.
