Shiloh Baptist Church Scholarships
Program Requirements:

Must have participated in church ministries/school/community activities, Zoom Sunday school/Bible study, etc., within the current or previous year.

Overall church/school/community participation, essay, and personal recommendations from church/teacher/school principal, must be a minimum of 30 points.

Must be a member of Shiloh for at least one year.

Must be a high school graduate or enrolled in a university, community college or technical college.
-
Must use funds for undergraduate studies.
-
Must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
Eleven scholarships may be awarded up to $50,000.

Charles & Winstonia McKesson Smith Memorial Scholarship
The requirements of scholarship applicants are: Must be a member of a Christian Church for at least one year; must be a certified college junior, senior or graduate student as evidenced by an official transcript; and must have a grade point average of at least 2.5. The scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $6,000.

ROBERTA R. PAYNE MEMORIAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
The requirements of scholarship applicants are: Must be a member of a Christian Church for at least one year; must be a certified college junior, senior or graduate student; and be in the Field of Education as evidenced by a copy of an official transcript; and must have a grade point average of at least 2.5. The scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $1,000.

GORDON M. PAYNE MEMORIAL TECHNICAL CAREER SCHOLARSHIP
The requirements of scholarship applicants are: must be a member of a Christian Church for at least one year; must have graduated from high school/GED as evidenced by an official transcript from a Technical College or high school; must have a grade point average of at least 2.0. The scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $1,000.

LAVERNE’S FASHION AND GIFTS SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW
This scholarship is sponsored by Marilyn LaVerne Carrier, M. Ed. who is a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and small business owner of Baton Rouge, LA. Marilyn Carrier recommended the implementation of this scholarship in 2022. The LaVerne’s Fashion and Gifts Scholarship is targeted for All Fashion Design majors and/or related program only.
The scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $1,000. The Scholarship Committee of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will administer the program.

SHILOH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH/WALTER C. DUMAS SCHOLARSHIP
CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS

Must be a current graduating high school senior enrolled in the East Baton Rouge Parish public school system.

Must be an active member of a church (other than Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church), synagogue, mosque, or other, as evidenced by a letter from a leader of the applicant’s place of worship.

Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average on a four-point scale.
-
Must exemplify qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and community service as evidenced by school and/or other records.
-
This is not a financial need based scholarship. Finances are taken into consideration.

Must have plans of graduating from a four-year college or university and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Must be able to associate harmoniously with students and faculty of different races, ethnic groups, and cultures, and participate in activities designed to promote better relationships among persons of diverse backgrounds.

Please include a current or preferably graduation photo of applicant, when submitting your application.

Must complete application so that it will be postmarked or delivered by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022. (No exceptions)
