Smith began this concert series while he served as president of the Federation, believing music has the power to bring unity to a commUNITY. This year’s concert includes tributes to Rev. Charles T. Smith by local leaders. Approximately 40 million American adults still smoke, and tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the country. The event challenges people to quit on  that day our use the day to make a plan to quit. COMMUNITIES OF COLOR NETWORK IS A TABACCO INITIATIVE TO HELP ERADICATE TOBACCO USAGE, PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND CESSATION RESOURCES.
