NEW EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES MARCH 2020

THERE WILL BE NO SUNDAY SCHOOL ON MARCH 22, 2020.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED –  Our annual Road to Renewal Mid-Day Worship Experiences, our Annual Spring Revival and our annual Maundy Thursday worship, as well as other special services/activities to mark the occasion. We encourage our members to make plans to attend be present for all of these.

Prayer-by-Phone is each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 6:00 a.m., led by Rev. Emanuel Smith, Minister of Community Outreach, and Min. Rodney Johnson. Call 302.202.1106; then enter the code, 517566.

On the Second Saturday of each month, at 10:30 a.m., our Brotherhood and Sisterhood Ministries serve the homeless, at 153 North 17th Street. You may donate cash or toiletries—deodorant, mouthwash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, travel size wet-ones (receptacles are throughout the campus). For more information, contact Bro. Ron Markham or Sis. THESE VISITS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED AT THIS TIME – We hold worship on the Third Saturday (10:00 a.m.) and Fourth Sunday (2:00 p.m.), at Carrington & Sterling Place Nursing Homes.  Ministry leaders are asked to schedule your ministry to host the worship by contacting Min. Patsy Wilkerson (225.252.2061 or patsywilkerson2016@ gmail.com).

We will have a Church Meeting on Saturday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. We encourage all members to plan to be present.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED – Our Social Justice Ministry, along with community partners, invite you to share in our Social Justice Summit: A Statewide Call to Action, to be held March 20 (6:00 p.m.) and 21 (8:00 a.m.). The summit will not only celebrate the intrinsic value of women, but it will also rekindle and unleash their power as prayer warriors who affect change in our families, Churches and communities. This summit is a collective gathering for women of prayer to engage their spiritual power in ways that impact personal, social and political change. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED – The Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge will sponsor the 30th Annual Sounds of CommUNITY Concert on Sunday, March 29, at 4:00 p.m. There will be a reception immediately following the concert. The Concert was initiated by our late Pastor, Charles T. Smith, when he was President of the Federation, as a means of fostering unity and goodwill through shared music experiences. As a special feature of the 30th Anniversary, there will be a Mass Choir, led by Bro. Everett Parker. Please make plans to come out and share.
