Dumas Scholarship.\nThis scholarship was established to honor high school seniors who are committed to achieving\nracial harmony and who value diversity. Three awards are presented to students of three\ndifferent ethnic backgrounds. Each student is required as part of the application process to\nsubmit essays on racial harmony and the value of diversity. Members of Shiloh Baptist Church\nare ineligible to apply.\n\nPlease read all of the instructions very carefully and follow them completely.\nThree students will be selected to each receive a $3\,000.00 scholarship to be used at their\nchosen four-year college or university.\n\n1. Payne Memorial Education Scholarship ($1000): Must be a member of a Christian Church for at least one year; must be a certified college junior\, senior or graduate student; and be in the Field of Education as evidenced by a copy of an official transcript; and must have a minimal grade point average of 2.5. Payne Memorial Technical Career Scholarship ($1000): Must be a member of a Christian Church for at least one year; must have graduated from high school/GED as evidenced by an official transcript from a Technical College or high school; must have a minimal grade point average of 2.0.
